@Ok_Loyalist – yes, the Soviet take-over of Russia, etc. is one of the greatest tragedies ever. The Dr. Zhivago movie/book is only a melodramatic telling of the tale. “Nicholas and Alexandra” by Robert Massie tells a fuller tale of the last Czar’s fate, along with his family’s. I find Nicholas and his wife to be very sympathetic characters.
Of course, the real masterpiece detailing the Soviets’ oppression and cruelty is Solzhenitsyn’s “Gulag Archipelago” trilogy.
What scares me is that we seem to be heading down the same path of Socialist/Communist Authoritarianism as the Soviets did in 1917. Seriously.
Obama is a very dangerous guy. Now he is unleashed, given his second term. He doesn’t care what happens to the US economy. His Socialist agenda is all that matters to him.
May God please save us all.
Amen.
